My Story

The day that I knew that I would somehow end up in a sound related industry was a school day like any other during year 10. *Yes I do know how cliché this sounds* I was in my English class listening to a song 'We Were Raised Under Gray Skies' by an artist named JP Cooper when I realised something. I wanted to be able to make someone feel the same way he was making me feel in that moment. The butterflies, the goose bumps, all from the way he was expressing himself through is music, his art form. Shortly after high school I enrolled in a Music Production & Sound Engineering diploma college course learning everything there was to know about everything I could get my hands on to do with the subject. From electronic music production to live studio recording to sound design for film and television. I was invested! After my two year stint I then enrolled to a Music & Sound Design course for university at Manchester Metropolitan University, where I acheived a 1st class batchelors degree.

After university I started a cinematic sound effects business, HaptikAudio©. I focus on creatively interpreting cinematic sound design modern game development, films & social media. All sounds have been recorded and designed by myself, infusing my personal passion and flare into each sound.

My Mission

"If the sound design of Robert Mackenzie, the mixing approaches of Paul Ottosson & the recording Kevin O’Connell were fused to create dense and lush soundscapes."

"The reason I design sound for film, TV, game and music is to attempt to have people feel a sense of utter awe; To feel goose bumps when experiencing sound that has been created to accompany the media and drive a narrative that may one day inspire someone else to create something or become someone truly amazing! There have been many moments like that in my life that have lead me down this road of audio production and those moments allow me to reflect on my purpose for doing what I do."
